Today, two precious cats in our care, Simba and Mufasa, desperately need your help. 💔
About a year ago, we discovered that Simba has only one functioning kidney. Since then, his health has become increasingly fragile.
Recently, Simba has been experiencing frequent vomiting, loss of appetite, and an infection that has not completely cleared. Veterinary examinations have also revealed enlarged lymph nodes around his intestines.
Simba requires ongoing veterinary visits, blood tests, urine tests, ultrasounds, and specialized medical care to protect his remaining kidney and address his intestinal problems.
Despite everything, Simba continues to fight. And we refuse to give up on him. 🧡
Simba isn't the only one fighting for his life.
For the past three months, Mufasa has been struggling with serious health complications. He was recently diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a potentially life-threatening disease.
Mufasa has already completed 17 days of GS treatment, but his journey toward recovery is far from over.
He needs daily medication, careful monitoring, regular blood tests, and continued veterinary support to give him the best possible chance of recovery.
These two beautiful souls deserve the opportunity to heal, feel safe, and live happy lives. 🐾
At Happy Trails Animal Shelter, our mission is to rescue, protect, and care for animals who cannot help themselves.
But lifesaving veterinary treatments come at a tremendous cost, and Simba and Mufasa's medical expenses are putting a serious strain on our resources.
