Today, we want to introduce you to Bruno, a beautiful, gentle dog whose heartbreaking journey reminds us why we refuse to give up on animals in need.
Bruno was found lying helplessly beside a road, unable to stand.
He was frightened, exhausted, and in terrible pain.
Nobody knew how long he had been there or how many people had passed him without stopping.
When rescuers approached, Bruno didn't bark or try to run away.
He simply lifted his head and looked at them with tired, frightened eyes. 💔
Despite everything, his little tail began to wag.
It was as though he knew someone had finally come to help him.
After being rushed to a veterinary clinic, examinations revealed that Bruno had suffered a serious injury to his hind leg and pelvis.
His injuries require urgent orthopedic treatment, pain medication, X-rays, and a long period of rehabilitation.
Without proper medical care, Bruno may never regain comfortable use of his injured leg.
He has already endured so much, and we desperately want to give him the chance to run, play, and enjoy life again.
We are hoping to raise about $1,250 (£950) to help cover Bruno's medical needs:

Bruno doesn't understand what happened to him.

All he knows is that he wants to feel safe, be loved, and have another chance at happiness.
At Happy Trails Animal Shelter, we want to give him that chance.
